STEP 1: SKETCHING THE CARTOON
Our cartoon pictures design process is quite simple and old fashioned. After we have gathered all the required info from you, we get to work on the cartoon character development in terms of the look and feel. We also conduct a little research to understand how best to create the cartoon.
If you are happy with the direction of the initial sketch we then proceed to the next stage. If you do not like the direction then we come back with a second cartoon concept which is usually totally different from the first. We keep this up until we arrive at a pencil sketch that you are 200% happy with.
STEP 2: INKING THE CARTOON
Once you have selected the initial cartoon concept, we then proceed with inking the cartoon sketch. For cartoon logo and cartoon mascot, we will work in vector format. Vector files are files that you can resize, scale, and even change colors or fonts without losing any quality or resolution on your image. Vector files are mostly used by professional designers or print shops.
Once this is done, it ends up in your email inbox again. We need a "thumbs-up" from you before proceeding to the coloring phase. If you are not happy with how this stage looks, we redraw it until you are.
STEP 3: COLORING THE CARTOON
The next stage of the cartoon creation process is to start coloring the cartoon character. We use either Adobe Photoshop CS2 or Adobe Illustrator CS2 to color the cartoon. Normally we chose the colors but you can also request for a certain set of colors to be used.
We also do not mind experimenting with colors and trying to determine which combination the cartoon will look best. You can say "I want to see my cartoon in orange, in blue and in red please" and we will color it all 3 ways.
